It has been almost a year, a really busy year actually, with the first year of IB and stuff.
Echinn here, just so you know, because I'm the only one blogging now.
I'm sure all of us are probably stressing over IB, stressing over applications, stressing over the amount of work we all have..
But you know, from time to time I'd like to think that we all look back and reflect on things for a while. Maybe it's just me and my personality, but I'd also like to think that our pasts matter as much as our future, or even the present.
Although I agree what happened in the past should stay in the past, that doesn't mean you can't think back, learn from it, live it and remind yourself what it has taught you, right?
I am still in touch with some of you in SSIS, which I am undeniably grateful for, because I know it's an effort to maintain a close relationship when I'm halfway across the world.
Since nobody reads this anymore, it wouldn't hurt to make it a little more personal (because I don't blog regularly enough to have my own blog anymore).
These past few weeks ever since school started have just been mind-blowingly stressful, and a lot's been going on, not just with grades, applications, but with entrance exams, being a prefect, with one of my friend's health and whatnot.
To those who I've been talking to: thank you so much for your support, I definitely couldn't have pulled through without your help, your care and support.
It's not going to get any easier, I know that, and I also know this isn't over.
You'd think that the hard part is over, but it really never is.
There are always going to be ups and downs in life, and even when you're as stressed as a mummaflipper, noone's going to be more lenient on you.
But what you gain from this, is knowing who truly loves you. And if they do, they stick by you through whatever.
Just remember, that however stressed you are, however hopeless you feel, there'll always been someone there for you, who'll show you they love you, be it your parents, your friends or your spouses.
And, don't ever give up on what you want.

As Christmas is approaching...
Hi! It's echinn here :)
School's out on the 21st for SSIS and for myself.
The snow here in Canada is on and off, but when it does snow, the fields are blanketed in white.
It's amazing, and it's so beautiful!
I'm extremely excited to go back and visit all those wonderful people at SSIS.
I probably won't be able to get on Blogspot in Shanghai,
so here I am, wishing all of you a Merry early Christmas!

Heyyy! It's echinn. here :)
Don't worry, I haven't forgotten the blog.
I've moved to Canada for grade 11, I'm in a boarding school named Ridley College now.
Although it has only been 3 month since my arrival at this new school, there's
already so much I've learnt from being here.
Most likely, for everyone that have been in this class,
the feeling of being apart of S1 Ruby have started to fade a long time ago.
It's a bit like a nuclear decay, where over time, the half life decreases, but
will never become zero.
I'm not an exception.
Although I've been blogging, it doesn't change the fact that
S1 Ruby happened 4 years ago, 5 even.
Time really goes by so quick, that although it seems like just
yesterday we were all together, we're so far apart now.
What I've learnt is that, we all move on, and meet new people,
maybe even better people. There are so many people in the world,
and none of us are limited to anyone, no one is limited to us either.
The truth is, everyone comes in and out of your life, and no one really
ever stays. The important bit is that, there is a reason for everything.
Everyone you meet, changes you in a way, even the tiniest changes.
The truth is, it is impossible to hold onto sometime, something or someone forever.
However much we all hate changes, they have to happen, and
it is one of those inevitable things in life that everyone
has to encounter.
The truth is, going around telling yourself, I hope in the future,
S1 Ruby's class combination occurs again has no purpose.
Everyone's lives changes, for better or for worse.
And although, yes, we miss the past, we miss all those moments,
would we really want to rewind?
Saying it and feeling it is one thing, but
experiencing it is another.
Just recently, I've learnt that, the truth is, at one point of time,
people you know will leave you. But when someone leaves you,
remember, another person enters.
So S1 Ruby, you are free.
There's no need to hold onto things in the past, let it go.
I'm not ending or closing this blog,
and I will still come back once in a while,
posting things for everyone who comes by, and not just limited to S1 Ruby.
See you guys soon :)
But if one day, you don’t see anymore blog posts on S1 Ruby, it will mean that I have grown up and moved on.It’s hard letting grip of memories and moments we’ve shared and treasured so much.

To be honest, if Cheryl hadn't reminded me of this blog,
I would have forgotten this place.
I didn't mean to! Just that this year has been very very very busy.
With PP, and the last year of MYP, preparing for IB and all that :)
I've left SSIS, finished S4 there.
I'm in Canada now, going to a boarding school to finish IB DP.
I don't know what's there to post here,
because I'm not in SSIS anymore, there's nothing to update.
This isn't my personal blog :)
So I'll talk about some things that happened the last year.
Graduation and Prom happened :)
Graduation was great!
Carmen gave a speech on behalf of the whole Grade 10!
Prom was amazing as well, everyone had a really good time :)
I can't believe 4 years passed by so quickly.
Just 4 years ago, we were all 12 and 13 years of age,
now we're all 15 and 16, possibly 17 too :)
Just 2 more years, then off to University..
I'll probably be very busy with DP, so blog entries
may be limited to only special occasions, or
maybe just once a year like this entry.
Well, if you're interested in what I've encountered for the past 6 years
in Shanghai, you can visit my Tumblr.

It's under the blog post:
I miss
Well, if there's nothing much,
I hope I'll find time or remember to blog soon :)

Helloo! echinn here, again :)
Looong time no update huh? Partly
because everyone was TOO BUSY with their summer
to remember the S1 Ruby blog (including me).
Haha :D
Well, almost all our teachers teaching us this
year are new and we all stayed in the same classes
as last year (subject combination).
So I am still in S4 Ivory (Art & History) with the
same people!
A busy year's start with assignments, tests, essays,
reports, task and last but not least, our Personal Projects!
Yes, the time has come for us to
complete our own personal project.
Well, actually we started during May 2011, which
was in the late S3s, right before our exams.
I know a lot of people doing interesting things, for example:
Cheryl, she's designing clothing and holding a fashion show/photography thing
Janica, she's making a cook book and holding a dinner party
And Sherri, similar to Cheryl, but she wasn't here
for S1 Ruby, so );
As for myself, I am holding an ice skating performance
and inviting children from the charity foundation as
well as raising funds.
I hope it will be successful :)
Looking back, I kind of miss last year actually.
I miss that there was still going
to be another year ahead when you really
have to work hard (S4).
And now, it is getting serious and it's
another step closer from university and work.
Everyone's having their SWEET SIXTEEN
this year, except for me ): Now I have the
urge to grow up! So left out..
But it's okay! Cus when I'm having mine, they'll
all be having their sucky seventeen ;D
I'll update soon!
For now, I'm goneeeeeeeeeeee.

Hello! I'm back, it's echinn. :)
Wow, it's been 4 months since I've last
updated the Ruby blog, I'm so sorry ;)
But I'm back now, actually I kind of
forgot about it, and my own blog
reminded me of this blog.
So I'm here to blog and update now :D
Let's see...
Excursion was greaaaatt! It was on March 7th to 11th.
We went to Shao Lin, Zheng Zhou.
The first night, we stayed at a motel/hostel thing.
The second and third night at a better hotel.
The last night was the BEST hotel everrrr!
Throughout the excursions I've been to,
the last night's hotel was THE best.
It looked amazingg, more of a 5 start hotel ;D
What elsee?
Ah! Sports day!
It was on 28th April and S3 Ivory (my class) worked
extra hard on the banner, cheers and t shirts and we
DESERVED to win ;)
But we didn't ); It's okayy though :D
There'll always be next year.
The day before sports day, Sherri and I went to
Cheryl's house for a sleepover to finish
all the T-shirts. We did, at 1.
But we sang for 45 minutes during painting,
it was FUNNNNN! :D
The exams are approaching I suppose,
get studyingg :)
GOOD LUCK!! :D
P.S.
Maria left, Deborah left, Lisa left.
Down to Cheryl, Sherri, Janica and I.
I'll be back! ;)
